The Ultimate Fathers Day Gift Guide
I’ve come to the conclusion that men become harder to buy for as they age.
If you ask Archie what he’d like for his birthday or Christmas gift you’ll be met with an enormous, excited grin and an endless list of toys, gadgets and experiences.
But ask Colin what he’d like and he’s completely stumped!
OK, so there are lots of things he’d like. He’d be thrilled with a Landrover Defender or membership at Woburn Golf club, but let’s be honest, they’re hardly ‘gifts’, well not gifts that fit my budget that’s for sure!
By the time they get to my Dads or Grandpa’s age, they don’t even want the car or the fancy golf membership!! So my theory is true. It requires great imagination and some serious shopping skills to find the perfect gift for the precious men in our lives.
We’ll be jetting off on our first family holiday this Father’s Day (it’s 19th June by the way!!), so I thought we’d get celebrating early this weekend. We packed up a picnic (Ploughman’s and Cider….Col’s favourite!) and a basket full of treats and we found a perfect little picnic spot to relax in the sunshine. Below I’ve put together a wee list of all the gift ideas should you need a little inspiration for your men too!

We love going out for lunch/dinner, but there’s something so special about finding your own perfect spot and setting up a picnic. No distractions, just you and your family gathered on a blanket in the beautiful English countryside. I feel there are so many wonderful memories to be made for us and the boys.

There's something so lovely about personalised gifts isn't there?It's thoughtful and adds that extra touch of 'meaning' to an already lovely gift. Anyone who knows me, knows I'm a die hard Jo Malone fan. My quest for a dresser that part resembles my own store continues. I love the fresh, crisp uncluttered fragrances, the clean minimal lines of the bottles, the way each one is gift wrapped with such care and attention. If there's one thing that stops Colin in his tracks as he walks down the high street, it's a shop window full of watches. He LOVES them. And whilst I would love to treat him to that 120k timepiece for Father's Day, I also need somewhere for our babies to live!!
