Beautiful Books

They’re easy to wrap and post, and always the right size...I think books make very handy gifts!

More than just convenient though, when chosen mindfully, and beautifully presented, they can make the most thoughtful presents too.

We’ve received some really gorgeous cookbooks over the years, that now, with their butter stained pages they feel like treasure. Heirlooms that we can pass onto the boys one day.

One of my friends always writes a short note from her on the inside cover saying why she chose it for us and the date, a little gesture I’ve pinched for myself too.

I’ve stamped the boys' books with this little stamp from my English Stamp Collection (that helps to raise funds for Women’s Aid). That makes a lovely present too.

We mustn't judge a book by its cover, but some books are positively breathtaking aren't they? Whether you love clean lines and neutral palette, or a riot of pattern and texture... if the cover is as special as what's inside...it’s a winner!

Scroll down for some of my favourite beautiful books, all with 4.5* star reviews, should you need a little inspo. If you’re lucky enough to have a lovely local bookshop...I think we should support & buy it from them of course, but I’ve included some links to bigger online retailers below for ease. Simply click on the image to shop.

I’m sure there are hundreds more so if you have a beautiful book we should know about, please let us know in the comments section too!
